Yeah, I started playing drums professionally by 14. And from 14 up into the pandemic, I 4:56 was just kind of playing drums and then the pandemic took all my drum gigs away. And then I just started dropping stuff on SoundCloud. And 1 of the songs took 5:04 like, you know, people took a liking to it. And then like, I had this thing where Amazon reached out to me to pay me like 12 grand during the pandemic 5:12 to make like a Justin Bieber cover. And then it was just like, it was super helpful because I was like super, I mean obviously it's a pin, 5:20 I was so broke bro. It's like, you know. That's a nice check for an unknown artist regardless. It was crazy, it was, I don't even know how it happened, you know, but to me it just felt 5:28 like more of a sign to just like, okay let's just do this. And I've been doing this Isaiah Heron thing ever since. And we're starting to 5:37 see some success, starting to pay off. So that's how we got here. When you say you were playing the drums, was that with the church or you were playing in bands? It 5:45 was bands, it was church, it was the weddings, it was all the gigs. Wherever the gig was. I 12:18 don't know, I'm kind of fuzzy. Okay. But yeah, that's how that, that's where I released the Concubania through. And then we just did RCA a couple 12:26 months ago. And that's where Mr. Love Bombers through. So. Wait a second, man, hold up. Cockyvania 12:36 is with slang. Yeah. But you were able to get part with slang? Is slang still in the picture? So 13:33 produced and written and recorded all of my parents' back deck in Greenville. Wow. Outside. So yeah, I just work really fast 13:50 and really hard Yeah, so that's 13:58 the reason why it would happen so quickly Do you do the live drums in your production or not so much? I'm like a chopper. I'm like a, you know, that's why I like at the beginning of my shows and at 14:06 the end of my shows I do meet and greets. I play like J Dilla because it's like, I feel like I'm more like that than, you know, I could do drums and stuff, 14:14 but it's like I did, I did on my last album, Concubania. Okay. But it's like if I wanna, I had a, and 2, I'm a very like 14:22 obligatory, like I work towards obligations. So for example, like when I did Concubania, we were in Toronto shooting 14:32 the visuals for Concubania. We shot all 12 videos in 1 day. I flew from Toronto to Greenville and 14:42 I knew in my contract I had 10 songs left. And so I was like, okay, let me make 10 songs. And that's when I made Mr. Love Bomb in 6 days. I was like, 14:50 let me just make 10 songs. And so that's how I was born. You know, it was just a quick thing and I knew I 14:58 needed to get something done. I knew I needed to get these songs complete. So that's how Mr. Lovabom was made. So it's like, next time if my contract says, hey, we 15:06 have 14 songs to make, I'm gonna go sit down and- Sit down on the deck, sit down and knock out 14. Not make 15, not make 16. Do you wait till the last minute? Last 15:14 minute, as far as what? Like if your deadline is January 10th, you get in the lab December 28th. I 15:23 don't have to. I mean, I could wait till the last minute, but it's just kind of like, if I know what is required of me, I'm just probably gonna go do 15:31 it. Knock it out. That's dope. Yeah. So if they go, hey, you know, you need to make a stronger record or something, it's like, okay, define stronger, like what would stronger mean? 16:45 And if it's able to be communicated, I'll take that information and take it to the house and apply it. Okay, so 17:02 To sum it quickly, let's say there's a guy who, not me, you know, whoever this is. Someone else, 17:10 a fictional character. An amalgamation of men. There we go. So you have this guy, this character, who's walking down 17:18 the street, sees this beautiful girl, and is like, yo, I like what I like, and I see what I like, 17:27 and I want to claim this thing, and so I'm going to claim it. And so he makes her, his girl, right away. And they go 17:35 out to eat, They go do a bunch of things and he spots these red flags like her attitude towards the waitress. That's like in wool. And then they go out and, you know, they go do things on the road trip, and then it's like Okay, I really don't 17:52 you you're kind of like needy. You're kind of pushy whatever the case. Maybe. I don't like it I'm realizing that this won't end so well and then 18:00 you know they obviously like get intimate and stuff in between that relationship and then she's like more attached than he is because you know she's like all 18:08 over the place emotionally and then it starts rubbing him the wrong way. You're killing this shit this is the downside of 18:16 love bombing. Well it's getting to that point, you know, towards the end. So it's like, he's getting 18:24 fed up. And so he decides to, and I don't know, I feel like a lot of men have been here, where he's like, 18:32 you know, he's laying up at night with his girl and he's like, yeah, I'm kind of sick of this girl. I'm gonna text and shit on 18:40 the side or whatever. And actually I'm going to go see somebody on the side while she's sleeping. On guard. So there's a song on there. So I'm going to leave while you're sleeping in the middle of the night. 19:15 And when I return, I'm going to bring her back a breakfast in a macha, just to be like, you know, hey, I just went out to go grab you this, this is why I'm up. But 19:24 he ends up going to sneak out and go see a girl and emotionally cheat, not physically cheat. He comes back with the breakfast and the matcha And the version 19:32 song is like, see I was always gonna come right back to you baby. You know, it's like kinda gaslighting her and gaslighting her and then to the point where the gaslighting 19:40 doesn't really work that well, she's not buying it so she leaves and then he ends up actually cheating on her but with the waitress 19:49 that she was rude to at the beginning of the album. And my musicians know exactly what it is that I want, and they know how to work with me really well.
