Precious Moments

My therapist once asked me to write a poem about what I wanted him to know about me.

In the effort to connect, I thought I’d share it.

My discipline is soft, but it is real. I don’t force myself forward — I guide myself gently, like a hand on my own back. I follow through because it feels good to honor my intentions. I keep my promises to myself the way I keep a plant watered: slowly, consistently, lovingly. My routines aren’t rigid; they’re rituals. My structure isn’t harsh; it’s a form of self‑devotion. I move at my pace, but I move. And every small act of consistency becomes proof that I can trust myself.
