It's never gonna stop happening. Life is never going to be perfect or improve overall. You just get better at dealing with those same stimuli. Yes, I've been the same way before where I enjoy the darkness but I realize that was the easier choice... Than to just face my trauma head on. Don't avoid. Go to therapy and practice Ecopsychological principles to better yourself as well as other cathartic treatments that suit you.

It's almost easier when you can pin the blame on something negative. When you can say it was due to this reason. Versus both people just growing apart and that feeling of heartbrokenness that is left just like The meteor that struck the Earth all those years ago and those feelings are no longer existent.... It's just a barren land of emotionlessness and feeling that was there but now it is not.
